RECORDING FAQS

How do I book a session? You can text/call 213-944-5810, send us a DM on Instagram, or fill out a session inquiry form on our website to book your session. A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your time slot. No sessions are confirmed until the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due when you arrive at your session.

What forms of payment are accepted? We accept Zelle, Apple Pay, cashapp, or you can stop by the studio in person at an agreed upon time and pay via cash or card.

What is the hourly rate? The rate with an engineer is $75/hr and the rate without an engineer is $50/hr. We always have monthly specials available and they can be found on our website or our Instagram page. There is a 2 hour booking minimum.

What do I need to bring to my session? For your first session, a photo ID is required and you will sign a liability waiver upon arrival. If you already have an instrumental/beat, you can share the file(s) with the engineer through email, AirDrop, a USB drive, or we can download from YouTube.

Are there age restrictions? We love working with artists of all ages! Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. If you are bringing a small child, please designate someone to keep and eye on them. We reserve the right to cancel sessions without refund if children are not being supervised.

How do I get my files at the end of the session? Files can be transferred through email, AirDrop, or on a USB device that you provide. We regularly clean out our computer and hard drives and are not responsible for your session files after they have been sent to you. Please make sure to store them somewhere safe.

Can I smoke inside the studio? Legal cannabis consumption is permitted inside the studio. Cigarette/tobacco smoking must be done outside. Hookah is not allowed. Illegal drugs, including noz tanks, are prohibited.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my session? All booking deposits are non-refundable. Sessions can be rescheduled *one time* if 24 hour notice is provided. Deposits will be forfeited for sessions that are not rescheduled within the 24 hour time frame.

Is mixing and mastering included in my session? For sessions booked with an engineer, you may allocate as much as your session towards recording, mixing, and mastering as you would like. No mixing and mastering done outside the session is included in the session price. Please let your engineer know if you would like mixing and mastering done at the beginning of your session.

What if I'm running late? The session time starts at the time you booked. No extra time will be given to sessions that start late. If the schedule permits, you may book additional time if you need it. Please let us know immediately if you know you will be late.

What equipment is at the studio? You can find a complete equipment list on the music production page of our website.

How many people can I bring to my session? The capacity for sessions is 10 people. For sessions with more than 10 people, event rates will apply. Please be honest and transparent about how you plan to use the space. Sessions with more than 10 guests will be terminated immediately without refund.

How's the parking situation? There is street parking, which is free everyday after 6PM and all day on Sunday, and there are two public parking lots within one block. Please note that the parking lot directly across the street from the studio closes around 9PM. For metered street parking during the day, we recommend setting an alarm on your phone to avoid getting a ticket.

Can I bring my pet? We love pets, but unfortunately they are not allowed on the premises. Service animals with proper documentation are allowed. ESAs are not allowed.
